PACKAGING

This is probably one of the main reasons as to why I purchased this. Even it's bulky, I really like the packaging! When I first saw it, it just grabs my attention immediately. Having this kind of packaging where every other companies use compact type of packaging for cushion foundations is such a breath of fresh air for me. It's really something refreshing for me. The main hue for the packaging is a nice peachy brown. The foundation itself comes in a pump style aerosol can.

the box
There are English and Korean descriptions on sides of the box but English descriptions as always are shorter than Korean. You can find how to use it in English too. There are diagrams on how to use but the texts are written in Korean albeit I guess all of us can get a gist of it just by looking at the diagram right? :)

A cute mini-sized puff with a small mirror are included inside. The puff and mirror are like the mini versions of the usual cushion puff and mirror.

The puff is just like the same old cushion puff, nothing new.

At first when I saw the promotional picture, I thought the design for Pore Fit Cushion Bottle on the bottle is a sticker but the design is actually printed on the bottle and I'm glad they didn't use sticker for it because you know how sticker tend to peel off over time and makes the whole bottle looks overall cheaper.

Closer view to back of the bottle.
As you can see there's no English descriptions at all on the back of the bottle, just in Korean. How I wish I can read and understand Korean now. sob.

Bottom of the bottle.
Manufacturing date as well as expiry date can be found on the bottom of the can.

Overall, I've a fondness for the packaging despite it being on the bulky side. The puff and the mirror on the other hand are like the mini size of puff and mirror for a cushion foundation albeit I've no problem with the puff size, I find it's not really comfortable to use a small mirror (probably because I'm used to a bigger mirror, haha.). The packaging is not really hygienic although you can clean it (wipe it off using wet wipe etc) unlike other cushion foundations. I can't read Korean and I can see red texts on the back of the packaging but understanding how aerosol can can be dangerous I guess I can take a guess on what are written in red. It contains LPG which is flammable so I hope if you're buying one (a reminder to myself too), please make sure this cushion is placed on a right place (not near the window or somewhere hot and keep out of children's reach too). I honestly have no clue on what the other reds are and I can't really find the translations on it. But just make sure to handle it with care. I'm really sad that I can't find the Ingredients list too. :(

HOW TO USE

There are two parts on the cap of the bottle. The indicator is on the upper part of the cap and you can twist the upper part of the cap to turn it off or on.

Once the upper part is on "ON", shake the bottle for 10 seconds. Pump the top 4-5 times to dispense product.

Make sure to close the cap when pumping because I actually didn't close the cap at the first time I'm using it and this gif above explained what happened to me, lol. Now imagine having a 'flying foundation', a foundation which flies and sticks to your face. Such a futuristic foundation. LOL okay talk about talking nonsense for typing this at 3a.m. Sorry please forget what I've just said, haha.

And please don't do like the gif above too, I did it to see how the product comes out from the small hole and because it was something rather interesting to watch, haha.

Open cap and use the built in puff to gently apply product to face. When finished make sure to close cap and toggle the bottle switch to "OFF".

COVERAGE

It has a light to medium coverage that's build-able to certain extent. I don’t have any blemishes or scars or any other issue that needs major coverage right now so the coverage already sufficient for me. It still able to cover up minor imperfections however if you're looking for a foundation that able to hide major imperfections, this is not for you.

.......

SCENT

It has a faint floral scent but you still can slightly smell the gas too. The gas odor however is a little overpowering especially when I'm applying the foundation around my nose area so I just usually hold my breath for awhile when I'm applying it on my nose. Some might find the scent intolerable albeit it's still tolerable for me (except when it's near my nose). The smell can be really overwhelming and unbearable to some people so it's crucial to test this product first before actually purchasing one because it might cause you nausea or headaches plus this isn't something cheap either to just buy one without trying first.

SHADE.COLOR

Sadly Skinfood only offers two shades which is No. 1 Light Skin and No.2 Natural Skin. I got mine in shade No.1 Light Skin. It's for those with light skin and I'm glad it's actually a great match for my skin tone. It doesn't seem to /grey out/ my skin either.

TEXTURE.CONSISTENCY.FORMULA

It has a very lightweight texture and has the consistency of water. The formula on the other hand is very interesting. It has this very obvious cooling effect which however dissipates over time but the lightweight texture somehow compensates it because it still feels very comfortable on skin. Skinfood claims the cooling effect actually to help reduce the appearance of the pores which helps skin looking soft and smooth. It does help reduce the appearance of the pores very well which make my skin looks softer and smoother. Skinfood also claims the pore care formula helps control oil for an all day and I agree that it actually has a great oil control. I managed to maintain a shine-free face for approximately 5-6 hours with this foundation on. Longwear is another word that can be found on the descriptions and this isn't misleading at all because my cushion foundation managed to survive through my sweating and the hot weather. Almost 85% of the foundation still can be seen even after 5-6 hours.

.......

FINISHING LOOK

Trust me this is because of the zoom! lol. Please forgive the appearance of my hideous pores in this post /hides. ;-;
this totally looks like an orange on a close distance lol...

It has a smooth matte finishing and it minimizes the appearance of pores quite decently. It first applies quite streaky because of the watery texture but it'll only takes a few seconds for it to set. I don't have any dry patches so I can't be sure whether it'll accentuates them or not albeit I've saw some Youtubers said this clings onto their dry patches and can look cakey on them.

WHAT DO I THINK?

I've been using it a lot lately and I really like the obvious cooling effect it has. I like how lightweight the texture is, making it very comfortable on skin throughout the day. The oil control is great too which is another plus. The high SPF it offers which is SPF50+ PA+++ is another bonus too. It doesn't break me out however I've heard some people tend to break out with Skinfood's products so make sure to test the product first if Skinfood's proucts tend to break you out. The downside of this cushion bottle are how the bottle is somewhat bulky, something not for you to bring along in your pouch (however just like Skinfood claims how it's longwear, I agree how the foundation still can be seen on my skin even after 5-6 hours) and how the scent might be too overwhelming for some people. I also feel like it actually fills my pores to help minimize the appearance of my pores (EDIT : It doesn't fill my pores, my bad. I actually used it together with my compact powder and apparently they're a mismatch together. I can't see any foundation stuck on my pores when I use this cushion foundation alone). If you're lazy or in hurry, this might be too hassle to use too. Another crucial thing is to make sure the cushion bottle is placed in a safe place too. The light to medium coverage it offers even it's build-able to a certain extent, probably not for everyone and more suitable for those with flawless skin to begin with. Now looking back, this product actually has a lot of cons.

To make things shorter, this is a nice cushion for someone who can tolerate the gas odor, who lives in a hot climate country, has oily or combination skin, who doesn't mind the bulky packaging and light coverage (that's me..) but HONESTLY, a normal cushion foundation in a compact packaging is already sufficient too (some are even better than this) unless well, you're looking for something new and interesting to use.

PROS

1. Innovative packaging for a cushion foundation.
2. Very obvious cooling effect suitable for those living in a hot climate.
3. Lightweight texture which is very comfortable on skin.
4. Help minimizes the appearance of the pores.
5. Great oil control (managed to keep my skin shine-free for approximately 5-6 hours).
6. Doesn't break me out.
7. Matte finishing!
8. Great wear time even on a sweaty day (5-6 hours without much obvious fading could be seen).
9. SPF50+ PA+++
10. Extra puff is included!
11. Gives an airbrushed finish.

CONS

1. The gas odor might be too overwhelming for some people.
2. The bottle is bulky so can't fit your pouch and it'll be troublesome to bring everywhere. Definitely not travel friendly.
3. The packaging not really hygienic although you can clean it unlike other cushion foundations.
4. This foundation is slightly more dangerous (lol) than other cushion foundations because of the packaging so you've to be extra careful on where you're storing them. You've to keep the bottle in a safe place (make sure it's out of children's reach and somewhere with the right temperature).
5. If you're lazy or in hurry this might be too hassle to use.
6. Light coverage but build-able to a certain extent.
7. It's the same old story, the puff is hard to clean.

It has nice aspects however the cons tbh, overshadow them. What do you think of this cushion? Do you find it much more interesting to use than normal cushion foundations too? Leave a comment below and thank you for reading!
